Singapore's non-oil domestic exports plunged 20.7% in March from a year ago, a sharp decline from the revised 0.2% fall in February. The 20.7% fall missed expectations by a huge margin, with economists polled by Reuters forecasting a 7% fall. This is the largest drop in non-oil domestic exports recorded by Singapore since January 2023. On a month-on-month basis, non-oil domestic exports slid 8.4%, also more than the 4.5% expected in the Reuters forecast. Non-oil domestic exports to Singapore's top markets declined in March, particularly for the U.S., the European Union and Japan.

The railway company posted earnings of 46 cents per share on revenue of $3.68 billion, while analysts polled by LSEG anticipated earnings of 45 cents a share and revenue of $3.67 billion. Alcoa reported $2.6 billion in revenue, while analysts polled by LSEG called for $2.56 billion. The company posted a wider-than-anticipated loss of 81 cents per share, versus analysts' estimates for a 55-cent per share loss. Equifax expects earnings per share of $1.65 to $1.75 per share in the second quarter, while analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.87 per share.

While the major equity averages were rallying off their October 2023 lows, many gambling names did not participate in the rally. DraftKings (DKNG) DKNG certainly has the most established uptrend in the group, having sustained a fairly consistent uptrend through much of 2023. Higher highs and higher lows have marked the next 14 months, forming a classic Dow Theory uptrend. The October 2023 low was noteworthy in that the stock found support right at the August low around $26.
